(UPDATES) THE cause-oriented group Tindig Pilipinas on Friday called on Senators Ronald Dela Rosa and Bong Go to inhibit themselves from acting as senator-judges in the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, saying they were biased.
THE cause-oriented group Tindig Pilipinas on Friday called on Senators Ronald Dela Rosa and Bong Go to inhibit themselves from acting as senator-judges in the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, saying they were biased.In a statement, the group cited Dela Rosa ’s moves in the Senate to dismiss the impeachment complaint, a motion that was seconded by Go.
“There is no such thing anywhere in the known universe as filing of motions by press release,” Topacio said.He also said that taking the grounds by these groups to their logical conclusions could lead to “absurd consequences,” as in the case of the senator-judges who voted to remand the articles of impeachment back to the House of Representatives.“All 18 senators who voted for the remand may also be labeled as biased, by the twisted standards of these groups.
