The Department of Health said it observed that the decline in newly confirmed coronavirus disease cases nationwide has slowed down.
“Nitong mga naunang linggo ng Oktubre, malaki ang pagbaba. It went down by 26 percent and then 35 percent by the end of October ,” she said. “When cases go down, this is the opportunity for us to intensify the active case finding because we want to be able to prove na pag mababa ang kaso, talagang mababa ang kaso; wala tayong nami-miss out na mga cases ,” she said.
De Guzman said by Dec. 15, the country’s number of active cases “can range from as low as 2,139 active cases if our mobility is maintained and we continue to be adherent to minimum public health standards.”
