Deal inked for La Trinidad’s forests. | Read:
The Local Government of La Trinidad, Department of Environment and Natural Resources in the Cordillera region signed on Friday afternoon, December 13, a memorandum of agreement for the Forest Land Use Plan to protect and manage remaining forests in the strawberry capital with its creation started way back in 2013.
Under the agreement, both parties agreed to formulate and legitimize a Flup at the municipal level. The plan defines technical and governance strategies to conserve forests, water and biodiversity resources, increase food and fiber production, and focus public and private investments.
