Sportswriters Association Annual Awards Night three weeks from now at the grand ballroom of the Diamond Hotel.The late track superstar is going to be elevated in the PSA Hall of Fame in recognition of her astounding achievements in Philippine track and field history.
The charming runner from Meycauayan, Bulacan was acknowledged as the fastest woman in Asia in the 80s following her golden run in the women’s 100-meter event of the 1982 and 1986 Asian Games in New Delhi, India, and Seoul, South Korea, respectively. Her legend grew from there as the Far Eastern University alumna stamped her class in the SEA Games, the Asian Athletics Championships, and the Asiad.
