Phillips had a double-double effort of 13 points and 14 rebounds while Quiambao scattered 12 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three steals for the Green Archers.La Salle took the momentum early on and built a lead that went to a high 45-32 in the second quarter before FEU crawled back in the third behind the efforts of Mohamed Konateh and Janrey Pasaol.
Despite trimming the deficit to just one, 51-50, the Tamaraws ran out of gas down the stretch as Quiambao and Phillips worked hand in hand to pull themselves away for good.
