If ABC’s managing director David Anderson “cannot be across his briefs” at Senate Estimates then “he’s not up to the job”, according to Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton.
It follows a question directed to David Anderson at Senate Estimates over a deleted tweet by ABC presenter Phillip Adams who implied the late Don Bradman was a racist for regarding singer Kamahl as an “Honorary White”.
Mr Anderson said Philip Adams wrote an apology for his behaviour; however, Kamahi responded to Anderson by saying, “the only action that Adams has taken to date in dealing with this issue is to block me on Twitter”. “This issue raises another issue, and that is the inaccurate information managing director David Anderson provided to Estimates last week,” Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton said.
“In light of that, Senator Ross Cadell … has formally requested that Anderson explain himself to the committee.”
