DAVAO CITY – The city government of Davao will not stop the Roman Catholic churches here from organizing processions and other religious activities that could potentially draw a huge crowd during the Holy Week as the city remains under Alert Level 1 status.

Churches here had suspended face-to-face Holy Week activities for the past two years amid the surge of coronavirus disease cases and had brought everything available online for their parishioners. Schlosser also urged the churches to convince their parishioners to have themselves vaccinated amid a threat of a new variant of COVID-19.
