MAYNILA — Pinagkakakitaan ngayon ng isang dating factory worker ang paggawa ng leaf art sa gitna ng coronavirus disease pandemic matapos mawalan ng trabaho dahil sa lockdown nitong Marso.

Una nang nag-viral sa social media si Mary Mae Dacanay mula sa Biñan, Laguna sa kaniyang mga artwork na naka-ukit ang mukha ng mga personalidad tulad ng mga pumanaw na vlogger na sina Lloyd Cadena at Emman Nimedez, singer na si Jose Mari Chan, pati na rin si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Pumanaw na ang ina nito at ang ama naman niya ay suma-sideline sa paggawa ng picture frames. May kapatid pa itong nasa Grade 9. Aniya, hindi niya inakalang maraming tatangkilik sa kaniyang likha na sinimulan niya lang kahiligan ngayong taon. “‘Yung kinikita ko po [sa leaf art] nakakatulong sa gastusin kahit na wala po akong trabaho,” dagdag pa niya.
