The Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) returned the policy of all passengers filling up the embarkation form upon arrival starting Monday, July 1.

Customs District Collector Carmelita “Memil” Talusan, resumed the policy after it was stopped during the past Administration.

The embarkation form requires all passengers to answer the questions in the form regarding their luggage and the items that they are bringing in from overseas. The form asks about customs declaration and possession of banned items. The embarkation form shall be the initial basis in determining how much a traveler should be taxed on items they are carrying. It also aids in intercepting prohibited materials from getting smuggled into the country.
