Curling. STOCK IMAGINE - ContributedSYDNEY, N.S. - Two teams from the Sydney Curling Club will hit the ice for the Nova Scotia Curling Association’s Men's Club Championship this weekend at the Bridgewater Curling Club.

Team Stone, who won the Sydney Curling Club men's championship, along with Team Leslie will compete in the tournament, which kicked off on Thursday. Team Stone features fourth Travis Stone, third Kurt Roach, second Mark MacNamara and lead Robin Nathanson. They posted a 5-4 win over Chester on Thursday to open the event.

The team will continue the tournament on Friday at 11:45 a.m. when they face Bridgewater No. 1. The remainder of the club's schedule will be determined on Friday. Meanwhile, Team Leslie, featuring fourth Stephen Leslie, third Kevin Gouthro, second Shane Langille, and lead Ryan Ferguson, began the tournament Thursday with a 9-5 loss to Halifax No.The team will back on the ice at 8 a.m. on Friday when they take on Chester.
