She said this was followed by people criticizing her appointment of a deputy director general and another official, both of whom she later replaced.
She said the attacks are “par for the course” so long as her critics do not touch the “moral integrity of my person.”,” Carlos said, adding that she “came to this government with all the integrity of a scholar” and wants to get out of it with her integrity intact. She explained that to be an effective national security adviser, one has to meet three criteria. Carlos said she apparently lacks one criterion, which is why some people questioned her appointment and wanted her out.Carlos said she, Marcos and three others talked for one and a half hours on Saturday, during which she offered to just quit “to resolve his problem.”
