This shade of pink reigned supreme as the heavily-favored Cool Smashers proved that they are the queens after fending off Akari in the finals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference, 25-15, 25-23, 25-17, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on a rainy Wednesday night, Sept. 4.

This shade of pink reigned supreme as the heavily-favored Cool Smashers proved that they are the queens after fending off Akari in the finals of the Premier Volleyball League 2024 Reinforced Conference , 25-15, 25-23, 25-17, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on a rainy Wednesday night, Sept. 4.
The Cool Smashers overpowered Akari in the third frame to avoid an extended sets courtesy of Bernadette Pons' three-consecutive kills, and Pangs Panaga's quick attack, 25-17, to finish the match via sweep. Playing without key players Alyssa Valdez and Tots Carlo suffered from a minor injury, while Jema Galanza has Alas Pilipinas duties, the Cool Smashers were fine.
