THE Department of Health (DoH) said it had been transparent in reporting coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19)[…]
THE Department of Health said it had been transparent in reporting coronavirus disease 2019 cases from the start and that its reporting of cases had improved over time. The department issued the statement after a spike in coronavirus deaths in the past few days, ahead of the government decision on whether Metro Manila and other places under general community quarantine would shift to a more relaxed modified GCQ or a more stringent modified enhanced community quarantine .
Vergeire said the Health department’s response to the disease was a “whole of society” and a “whole of government” approach. Vergeire noted that from seven to 10 days, the length of the test result to the time it was reported was down to 2.3 days, and from 20 days, the length of time in reporting deaths had been reduced to seven days.
The rate of recovery, on the other hand, continues to rise because of the experience of the doctors battling the disease and the function of reporting.
