Country Builders Bank Inc., one of the biggest rural banks in the country, has rebranded as Top Bank Philippines Inc. as it sets its sights on expansion through acquisitions and mergers.In a statement on Wednesday, Top Bank said its rebranding “marks the start of a new era defined by its commitment to exceptional service.
Country Builders, now Top Bank, was a product of the consolidation of two banks—Country Rural Bank of Taguig Inc. and Builders Rural Bank Inc.—in 2012.In 2017, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas approved the merger of Country Builders and First Macro Bank Inc., with the former as the surviving entity.
