MELAKA: Melaka police have initiated an investigation into a tiff between a 45-year-old customer and a teen crew leader of a fast food restaurant at Ayer Keroh here over chilli sauce sachets.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said an investigation paper had been opened under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.

He said the team leader claimed the customer wanted to purchase the sachets although the outlet had offered it without any charges before an argument sparked between the two. He said the male customer claimed that he was forced to pay for the sachets while the team leader alleged that the man offered to pay for the items despite being told that the sauces were complimentary with food ordered at the outlet.
