Joel Leyble, 29, did not resist the arrest. He was arrested for rape and attempted murder charges as ordered by Assisting Judge Redentor Eugenio Esperanza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo.
The arrest was done through an operation of the joint elements of Calinog Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 6, PNP Special Action Force, Iloilo Police Provincial Office, Provincial Intelligence Team, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Lambunao Municipal Police Station, 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 and the Philippine Army.
