MANILA, Philippines — The Creamline Cool Smashers bounced back from a loss after overcoming a first set hiccup over the Farm Fresh Foxies, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 25-16 in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday.
MANILA, Philippines — The Creamline Cool Smashers bounced back from a loss after overcoming a first set hiccup over the Farm Fresh Foxies , 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 25-16 in the Premier Volleyball League 2024 Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday.Creamline banked on Erica Staunton's double-double performance of 26 points , and 14 excellent receptions.
Yeny Murillo responded with a crosscourt kill of her own, and Risa Sato, and Erika Staunton both made back-to-back attack errors to a 3-0 rally.Murillo once more hammered a kill to trim Creamline's lead to eight, 20-12, but Staunton stopped the bleeding, scoring from a combination play, 21-12.Sato hammered a quick, and Murillo once more responded with a drop to keep the Foxies alive, 22-13.However, Staunton scored from a backrow to inch the Cool Smashers to a match point advantage, 23-13.
