“Yeah, I think it’s gone well,” said Zary, a 21-year-old Saskatoon native, of camp. “I think I came in ready after last year, when I didn’t get the chance. This year, I think I’ve felt good — I worked on my skating and worked on my strength all summer. So coming to camp, I wanted to just kind of show myself and prove myself a little bit. So it’s been good.”
“Yeah, it’s good,” agreed Zary, after his third pre-season action of the fall. “Obviously, you want to come out and play against the best players you can and show that you’re at this level and you can play at the next level. So when you got the best couple players in the world out there you’re playing against, that’s where you want to be and kind of show that you’re at this level, you can play at this level, make plays and be effective.
