With the third overall pick in the 2024 PBA Rookie Draft teaming up with one-time PBA Most Valuable Player Scottie Thompson at backcourt, Ginebra went on to reach the Finals for the second straight conference after beating top seed NorthPort, 4-1, in the semifinal series. And while Cone feels blessed to be able to handle the second-generation Abarrientos, or after Johnny, RJ's uncle, the multi-titled PBA coach believes the Ginebra rookie still has a lot of room for growth.
