Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion welcomed the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), the most restrictive type of lockdown in the country’s four-level quarantine measures, during the Lenten season when “economic activity goes down.”
Malacañang announced that the country will revert back to ECQ from March 29 to April 4 in a bid to stop the surge of COVID-19 positive cases that now breached the 9,000-mark.
“We really need these vaccines to come in. Hopefully, there will be no delays in the arrival of the vaccines, particularly with Novavax and Covaxin which we are helping our private sector access,” Concepcion said. Seven million of the 20 million doses will be for the two business groups while 13 million doses are for the government.
Aside from the vaccine supplies and logistics, Concepcion acknowledged that there was “subpar acceptance rate among Filipinos” in regards to vaccination.
