Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said the final list will be released after the polling body removes the names of all nuisance candidates. | cgonzalesINQ

According to Jimenez, 97 individuals have filed their COCs for presidency while 28 have filed candidacies for vice presidency.

“Sa pagkapresidente lang, 97, so ang dami mo pang sasalain kaagad dyan. Sa VP, 28, so medyo talagang maraming trabaho. Kita mo naman, unang tingin mo lang, alam mo nang makakatanggal ka ng 95 percent ng mga nagfile so siguro ang matitira natin, mga hindi siguro lalagpas ng sampu,” he said. The filing of COCs were conducted last October 1 to 8. Substitution of candidates can be filed until November 15.
