Some 4.8 million new voters have registered for the 2025 national and local elections , data from the Commission on Elections showed. According to the poll body, the total of registered voters for the 2025 May polls reached 4,827,794 as of July 3 — breaching its target of 3 million names. Calabarzon recorded the most number of registrants with 801,784. It was followed by the National Capital Region with 650,683; Central Luzon with 557,082; and Davao Region with 283,730.
The Comelec main office registered 7,620 new voters. Female registrants stood at 2,496,436 and male registrants were 2,332,358.The voter registration period for the May 2025 midterm polls started on February 12, and will end on September 30, 2024.Applicants may register from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at any Comelec office nationwide.The poll body’s Register Anywhere Program is also open for those who wish to register to vote in designated sites like malls and schools.
