The Commission on Elections said preparations are progressing rapidly for the 2025 midterm elections, despite a Supreme Court order that did not include an injunctive writ.
Comelec chairperson George Garcia expressed relief and determination in light of the SC’s decision not to interfere with the election preparations. The SC has given Comelec and Miru Systems 10 days from receipt of notice to submit their comments on the petition and the application for a TRO and/or writ of preliminary injunction.
