.COMELEC not keen on holding one-on-one debates

During Monday's Laging Handa public briefing, Commelec Commissioner George Garcia said media networks could conduct one-on-one debates but definitely not the Comelec.

“Maganda po yun siguro yung mga ibang network pupuwede mag-hold ng one-on-one kahit hindi yung nabanggit niyong kandidato, pero definitely ang Comelec ay hindi po gagawin ‘yan,” he said.“Lahat ng kandidato ay may equal chance na mabigyan ng kanilang entablado at kanilang panahon. Kami po ay Comelec, we should be impartial and neutral lalo na po sa halalan,” he said.
