THE Commission on Elections has allowed the Office of Vice President Leni Robredo to continue its coronavirus disease pandemic-related programs amid the campaign period for the upcoming May polls.
In January, the OVP filed a petition to the Comelec seeking its approval for the office to continue its Covid-19 initiatives, such as the Bayanihan E-Konsulta, Swab Cab and Vaccine Express, which were halted by the campaign period. This aims to avoid the use of public funds during the campaign season and for the advantage of a candidate. She also vowed to not appear in any of these activities, as well as to change the look of all paraphernalia.
