MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections dismissed 1,024 cases of election overspending from the 2010 and 2013 national and local elections.
Through a resolution made public by the poll body on Wednesday, the Comelec dismissed 437 overspending cases involving the 2010 national and local elections and 489 overspending cases involving the 2013 national and local elections, which are still pending preliminary investigation and resolution.
The Comelec also dismissed 51 overspending cases involving the 2010 national and local elections, and 47 overspending cases involving the 2013 national and local elections which still have pending motions for reconsideration.
