Aside from the two, two other players in CJ Catapusan of UP and Paul Garcia of Ateneo, both also under VP Global, also applied for the draft. Cansino is currently playing with Iloilo Royal in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League where he is averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.
