Irish weather forecast: Met Eireann warns cold spell set to continue as temperatures dip to -1C
Met Eireann has warned a cold spell of weather is set to continue as temperatures dip below freezing tonight and Saturday.
"Later in the night, rain will spread from the west and temperatures will rise again. Lowest temperatures between -1 and +3 degrees in light to moderate southeast winds. "Showers dying out overnight, becoming mostly dry under clearing skies. Minimum temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees as winds ease. Some frost will form where skies clear.
And looking ahead to next week, longer spells of rain are set to return with experts warning of showers on most days, turning wintry in places.
