SEVERAL academic institutions in New Bataan , Davao de Oro suspended their classes on Friday, April 12 following the 5.1 magnitude earthquake that rocked the municipality on Thursday morning, April 11..This is in line with the latest Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis conducted by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in collaboration with the local government unit of New Bataan .
These are Camanlanngan, Pagsilaan Elementary School, Manurigao, Davao de Oro State College -New Bataan, New Bataan National High School, and ComVal Christian Academy.“Suspend ang klase until karon. So, na-cancel gyud,” .To recall, the moderately strong, tectonic in origin earthquake rattled one kilometer southeast of the New Bataan with a depth of just eight kilometers.
