Occidental Mindoro Gov. Eduardo Gadiano on Sunday ordered the suspension of classes from April 3 to 5 in all levels in public and private school due to power outages. | mvirolaINQ /PDI

On March 31, the provincial board also issued a resolution suspending classes in the province from April 3 to 4 due to what it described as a “power crisis.”

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, the highest heat index recorded for this dry season was 47 degrees Celsius in Occidental Mindoro’s San Jose town on March 25 and in Butuan City in Agusan del Norte on March 24.
