Jordan Clarkson got himself a game to remember as Gilas Pilipinas ripped China, 96-75, to finally win in the FIBA World Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, September 2.
Clarkson poured 24 of his 34 total points in the third quarter where he unleashed five three-pointers, four of which he did in consecutive fashion as the Philippines ended its World Cup winless run that lasted for nine years.
Clarkson's barrage enabled the Philippines to build a 22-point lead, 73-51, entering the final stanza where the Philippines did just enough to maintain control in its final game in the world meet.The win before 11,080 fans likewise gave the Philippines a shot of qualifying in Paris Olympic Qualifying Tournament....
