City Council approves bonus for contractual, job order employees

CONTRACTUAL and job order employees in Mandaue City Hall will receive a one-time gratuity pay ofP 7,000 following the approval of an ordinance by the City Council. The ordinance, who was authored by City Councilor Immaline Marie Zafra and was approved on third and final reading by the City Council during its regular season on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, adopted Administrative Order 28 issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. last Dec.

Zafra said this gratuity pay is separate from the salary adjustments received by contractual and JO workers, which amounted to P5,000 and covered the period from August to November of 2024.The processing of these salary adjustments is ongoing, with bulk payments expected in January. “After these payments, employees will revert to their original monthly salaries,” said Zafra.She added that the one-time gratuity pay is designated for all City-paid contractual and JO workers.
