A new hypercar for a new era
Since the ‘80s, there has always been one Ferrari hypercar that defines the decade. In the ‘80s, it was the F40, and it was followed up by the F50 in the ‘90s.
The Enzo was the top Ferrari of the ‘00s, while the LaFerrari ushered in electrification for the prancing horse in the 2010s. Now that we’re in the 2020s, that role has now been taken over by the F80.Hybrid Kia Carnival quietly arrives in PH with P3.488-M SRPThe Ferrari F80 made its world premiere on October 17, 2024. Less than a month after that, it has made its way to Southeast Asia.
Production of the Ferrari F80 will commence by 2025, but the Italian automaker already has earmarked all of the 799 units it will build. There’s no exact price tag mentioned as each car will be bespoke, but it’s estimated that we’re looking at a base figure of $3.9-M or about P230,000,000 at current conversion rates.
We’re not doubting Ferrari’s claim of the F80 being the most powerful road car it’s ever built. Its 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine alone puts out 888hp and 850Nm, while the dual electric motors adds 296hp. All in all, the F80 punches out 1,184hp, 234hp more than the LaFerrari.Other highlights? It’s the first Ferrari to use e-turbo technology, and the engine is derived from the 499P endurance race car.
