Hundreds of hay bales have landed on the doorsteps of battling farmers for Christmas as they continue to rebuild from multiple devastating flooding events. 9News

The Buy A Bale campaign from Rural Aid was created during the Millennium Drought, which saw a lot of NSW farmland dry up.The Rural Aid hay drop will make Christmas easier for farmers.

Forbes cattle breeder Danielle Beard said her property is still covered in floodwaters and thick layers of mud, smothering any grass underneath. Rural Aid CEO John Warlters said flood-affected farmers are facing a difficult recovery that will last well after Christmas.
