The Commission on Human Rights on Tuesday condemned the brutal physical violence supposedly committed by a youth official from the Sangguniang Kabataan and his accomplice that led to the tragic death of a 15-year-old.
“The Commission stands ready to extend any possible assistance to the family of the victim in the pursuit of justice. We also reiterate our commitment to upholding the rights and protection of every Filipino, especially those who are vulnerable, marginalized and disadvantaged,” it added. “The senseless loss of a young life under such circumstances is deeply alarming and raises serious concerns, particularly given that one of the accused perpetrators is an elected official and youth leader in the community,” the Commission said.
