In the bustling corridors of the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board , a quiet revolution is underway. Amidst paperwork, regulations, and daily hustle, a vibrant rainbow community has emerged—a beacon of acceptance and empowerment. This is the story of the LTFRB’s groundbreaking LGBTQIA+ Association, a brainchild of our straight ally and equality champ, Executive Director Atty. Robert “Bob” D. Peig.

Executive Director Atty. Robert “Bob” D. Peig, CESO V, is an unlikely hero in this narrative. A straight ally and equality champ with a vision, he saw beyond the rigid lines of regulations and glimpsed the vibrant hues of humanity. It was under his leadership that the LTFRB’s LGBTQIA+ Association was born—a beacon of hope for those who had long felt invisible.

The association’s activities were a symphony of empowerment. It has started to roll discussions on gender sensitivity, educating colleagues about pronouns, identities, and the power of language. It celebrated milestones—the first transgender driver to receive a franchise, the first rainbow flag raised during monthly Flag Raising Ceremony of the agency to commemorate Pride Month and echo the message of inclusivity in the agency.
