A Chinese man wanted for physical abuse was arrested by members of the Pasay Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) on Monday, May 22. ManilaBulletin READ:
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, said the suspect identified as Wei Lei,34, was arrested at around 1 p.m. on Pasadena Street in Pasay City.
Uy said members of the WSS conducted a manhunt operation against wanted persons, leading to the arrest of Lei. He said a warrant was issued for the arrest of Lei for violation of Republic Act No. 9262 or "Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004." The warrant was issued by Judge Jehan Bautista Sampao-Hassiman, presiding judge of Family Court Branch 11 on March 10, 2023 with a recommended bail of P2,000.
