Davao City 1st district Rep. Paolo Duterte has gained the Chinese Consul General’s commitment to help in the livelihood programs for the city’s indigenous peoples (IPs), the lawmaker’s office bared on Monday, July 11.

Paolo Duterte has gained the Chinese Consul General’s commitment to help in the livelihood programs for the city’s indigenous peoples , the lawmaker’s office bared on Monday, July 11.Duterte and Consul General Li Lin met over a “modest dinner” on Saturday, July 9, to reaffirm the two countries’ continuing friendship, as well as identify the program that will be supported by the Chinese government in Davao City.
“Rep. Duterte in turn manifested his full support to the program and in fact committed to Consul General Li Lin that he is willing to work hand in hand with the consular office, all for the purpose of alleviating socio-economic condition of our IP brothers and sisters in Davao City,” it added. “Clearly, this is another step to a proper direction and a very bright future for the two nations,” his office said.
