Typhoon Chedeng further weakened as it traversed the Philippine Sea, the state weather bureau said on Sunday.
"Chedeng is unlikely to directly bring heavy rainfall over the country in the next three days. However, the southwest monsoon enhanced by Chedeng will bring occasional to monsoon rains over the western portions of Luzon and Visayas in the next three days," the weather bureau added. "Patuloy pa ring makakaranas ng halos walang tigil na pag-uulan na dulot ng habagat ang area ng Zambales and Bataan," PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
PAGASA also warned mariners of small vessels against moderate to rough seas on the extreme northern Luzon seaboard.
