Police have laid charges of aggravated dangerous driving, at a speed more than 45km/h over the speed limit, against Jimmy Martin Brito over the Monterey crash.
Police have upgraded charges against the man accused of losing control of a car in Sydney’s south and slamming into a tree, killing two young brothers, alleging he was driving at more than 105 km/h.
Police on Thursday confirmed Brito has now been further charged with two counts of aggravated dangerous driving occasioning death, at a speed more than 45 km/h over the limit. Police allege Brito lost control of the car and crossed to the wrong side of the road before the impact. According to court documents, Brito was allegedly “driving the vehicle in a manner dangerous to another person” at 9.50pm “when it was involved in an impact occasioning the death” of the two boys.
