Chan instead called on the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office to step up their investigation and solve the cases to give justice to the victims and minimize any disturbance to the peace and order in the city. “Atong hangyo sa atong kapulisan nga mag-imbistigar sila. Ilang sutaon gyud sa maong mga hitabo nga susihon gyud nila unsay hinungdan sa kamatayon aron mahatagan og hustisya ang mga biktima,” said Chan.
Last Thursday, August 15, a former seaman was killed in an ambush in Barangay Soong while driving his young children to school. The children, aged 2 and 5 years old, were left unharmed.Another seaman was also ambushed on Monday, August 19, by motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Pajo. The seaman died in the ambush while his driver sustained gunshot wounds.
