THE Commission on Filipinos Overseas announced on Saturday that applications are now open for its immersion program, Youth Leaders in Diaspora .The program provides an opportunity for Filipino youth abroad to reconnect with their cultural roots and build global networks with their peers.“It is imperative that our overseas Filipino youth are made aware of the other half of who they are and why they should be proud to be Filipino,” CFO Secretary Dante Ang II said.
Ang added that the CFO aims to collaborate with the Philippine diplomatic post in Australia to implement a YouLeaD module later this year.“We want to provide the future leaders of the Filipino diaspora with an avenue to learn from various resource persons, build networks, and ignite their passion for Filipino culture and heritage,” he said.
