The Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO 7) and the Commission on Elections (Comelec) have officially opened the Regional Election Monitoring Action Center (Remac) to ensure a peaceful, orderly, and fair election in May 2025. The Remac will monitor activities, incidents, and statistical data related to the election period, which officially begins on January 12, 2025. Both PRO 7 and the Visayas Command have reported no election-related incidents so far.
THE Police Regional Office in Central Visayas and the Commission on Elections officially opened the Regional Election Monitoring Action Center on Thursday, January 9, 2025.The opening happened as the police, military, and Comelec intensified preparations to ensure strict security measures and achieve a peaceful, orderly, and fair election in May 2025.
'So mao ni ang coordinating office nga makakuha ta’g statistical data, at the same time to monitor all the activities, incidents or non-incidents for that matter para mahibal-an nato unsa ang status sa election period,' said Pobe.Pobe also confirmed that there have been no election-related incidents reported by the PRO 7 and the Visayas Command.Comelec said that starting at 12:01 a.m. of January 12, they will begin implementing election rules, with a focus on ensuring peace and order.
