Gilas Pilipinas guard Dwight Ramos received extra support during the game as his girlfriend, volleyball star Kianna Dy, was spotted in the crowd inside the venue.Among the notable stars present during the opening ceremony of FIBA World Cup were celebrities Maja Salvador and her husband Rambo Nuñez, comedian Jose Manalo, and AC Bonifacio.
Miss Universe 2018 and FIBA World Cup local ambassador Catriona Gray, together with fiancé Sam Milby, also showed their support. Meanwhile, former volleyball player and now TV host Gretchen Ho shared a story of the crowd on her Instagram. President Ferdinand"Bongbong" Marcos Jr, together with Ilocos Norte Rep.
