The public should exercise extra caution when celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri as Covid-19, along with the ongoing haze phenomenon, still poses a danger and risk to respiratory health.

Although this is the first time in three years Hari Raya is celebrated without the imposition of standard operating procedures by the government, there is no reason to throw caution to the wind.According to the official Health Ministry data, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country rose by 87.5 per cent in the last 14 days leading up to April 8, while the number of hospital admissions recorded an increase of 30.5 per cent.
