THE rains and cloudy skies experienced in Cebu in recent days are attributed to the combined effects of Easterlies, the northeast monsoon or “Amihan,” and a shearline, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration Visayas said on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025.Ana Dumdum, a Pagasa Visayas weather specialist, said Cebu residents can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Easterlies on Monday and Tuesday.
Dumdum assured the public that no tropical depressions are being monitored within the next two weeks but emphasized the importance of staying updated on weather advisories.“Within the next two weeks, we have not seen any tropical depressions in our monitoring but the public can follow our latest weather advisory,” she said.Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will continue to experience cold weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.
