Budget carrier Cebu Pacific Air is coordinating with CAAP regarding the allegation of one of its pilots that Vice President Leni Robredo supposedly caused flight diversions in Manila last month.
"A recent social media post by one of our pilots has been brought to our attention. In the post, the pilot alleged that Vice President Leni Robredo had requested for her flight a month ago to be given priority landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport which caused flight diversions. The concerned pilot had taken down his post," the airline said in a statement posted on Monday.
The company added that employees are required to follow a set of guidelines on how to behave on social media "because they are stewards of our brand and everything that we value as a company." "Sensitive company information and operational details must not be disclosed publicly – even when factual and more so, if erroneous to prevent the spread of disinformation," said the company, adding that it is working with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines as they address the issue internally based on company guidelines.
