TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite—Local government units , comprising 23 localities, are now on high alert as provincial health officials report an ‘alarming’ 409 percent increase over the first two months of 2025.

According to Cavite Provincial Health Officer Dr. Nelson Soriano, the number of cases rose significantly compared to the 664 cases registered in the same period last year. At least 10 cities and municipalities are dealing with more than 100 dengue patients.
