The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) wants casinos to resume their operations later this month or in July to generate revenues for the government and allow employees to return to work.

At the ICE Asia Digital 2020 virtual forum, PAGCOR Chair and CEO Andrea D. Domingo said land-based gaming operators will be allowed to gradually reopen beginning this month or next month.

Domingo gave the assurance that PAGCOR has mechanisms to ensure gambling hubs will effectively implement the government’s health protocols to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
