" Carless Sunday s" is being proposed to be implemented in Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City, according to its local government unitA Public Consultation will be conducted for the public, in line with the proposal of Quezon City Fourth District Councilor Irene Belmonte to make Tomas Morato Avenue "carless" or "car-free." The consultation, which is open to all residents in the area, will be scheduled on the following dates:August 21, 2024 - 4 p.m.
at the South Triangle Covered CourtAugust 24, 2024 - 4 p.m. at the Barangay Obero Old Barangay Hall The Quezon City Government said this is based on the ordinance proposal "Carless Day and Market Day, regulating the use of entire stretch of Tomas Morato, from E. Rodriguez to Sct. Albano by closing the said street to vehicular traffic every Sunday from 12:00 m.n. to 11:59 p.m. and providing penalties thereof.
